Parents and Teachers: Turning Conflicts into Partnerships
This is a great article that relates to the partnerships of parents and teachers. I think that it is very crucial for there to be a partnership with your childs teacher. Personally, I feel like it is important because 1) it shows your child that you care about their education and 2) it shows the teacher that you care. I feel that teachers and parents should be able to discuss things in a very respectable manner, the goal is to make sure the child is learning correctly.
I am a very active parent in my childs classroom. I think this makes it easier to have a conversation with the teacher if I have a disagreement about something. I also think it is important to be respectful to the teacher because it then sets an example to the child that they must always be respectful to their teacher.
Let's admit, kids do what they see being done, especially if their parents are doing it. Great Article, share your thoughts!
Parents and teachers should communicate on a regular basis. Many teachers send weekly progress reports to the parents. These reports reflect areas of high and low academic achievement. This is a perfect time for parents to state their opinion.
